Responsibilities
Process semi-monthly payroll in partnership with the People & Culture Team
Reconcile quarterly payroll reports filed with the IRS (Internal Revenue Service)
Process Accounts Payable invoices and schedule weekly payments
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank and credit card statement reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies
Maintain prepaid reconciliations
Conduct account analyses in support of the monthly closing schedule
Participate in other projects as assigned
Issue 1099 Forms to AP vendors
Collaborate closely with the Controller on the annual Financial Audit
Support the annual 401K Audit
Assist in preparing the annual Form 990

Required
Strong commitment to the mission, policies, and goals of the organization
Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent level; nonprofit audit and accounting experience is preferred
Experience running payroll for 100+ employees
Comfort working with general ledger applications; experience with NetSuite is a plus
Background in AP/AR and audit work
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Desire to work collaboratively and engage as a member of a diverse team
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred
Excellent references demonstrating strong performance history
