Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications

Create detailed reproduction steps for all bugs/defects so developers can reproduce in their environments prior to resolution

Collaborate with development and product teams to identify test requirements and acceptance criteria

Perform manual and automated testing on VergeOS

Conduct functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing

Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through resolution using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Gitlab)

Work closely with software engineers and DevOps teams to resolve issues and improve testing strategies

Monitor and analyze quality metrics to ensure software meets performance and reliability benchmarks

Required

3+ years in manual software testing, preferably in virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure software

Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, storage, hyperconverged infrastructure

Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems

Proficiency with Bash shell (scripting knowledge is a plus)

Knowledge of how hyperconverged infrastructure works from the top down including storage tiers, networking, and virtualization.

Proven track record in manual software testing

Ability to not only test functionality within VergeOS, but also the ability to think outside of the box. Instead of a pass/fail mindset, take it further by trying to 'break' the product and come up with unique scenarios

Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
