Responsibilities
Assist as required by the underwriting team to support renewal and new business activities.
Gather and organize information and reports (e.g., loss runs, risk assessments, and loss ratings) that support underwriting decisions.
Identify proper forms and endorsements used for renewal policy construction with underwriter.
In a timely and accurate manner, process new business submissions, renewal submissions and endorsements processing including rating, policy construction and assembly.
Service accounts including resolving broker inquiries, requests, and policy processing activities within guidelines, gather and organize specified information and reports to assist in the underwriting decision.
Troubleshoot billing and accounting issues or discrepancies.
Communicate with brokers through email/phone to resolve payment discrepancies or request further coverage information.
Work with our marketing leader to support our communications, event planning and other marketing initiatives.
Liaise with our underwriting platform vendor and product leaders to ensure that technology and business requirements are captured, communicated, and delivered to the appropriate parties.

Required
1-3 years of insurance experience preferably in the surplus lines setting
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Zoom and other productivity tools
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
Flexibility to take on and assist with the varying needs of the underwriting team
Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
Ability to work independently, but also as a team in a group environment
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
