Principal AI/ML Consultant – Semiconductor design

Responsibilities
AI Implementation Roadmap: Develop and manage a detailed AI implementation roadmap tailored to the needs of engineering organization, ensuring it aligns with the overarching company AI/ML strategy.
Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical guidance on capital equipment manufacturing/ HiTech/ semiconductor engineering technologies and AI/ML applications, influencing strategic decisions and driving innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with senior leadership, including CXOs, to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable AI/ML initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams across the organization to integrate AI/ML technologies seamlessly into existing workflows and systems.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure all AI/ML projects adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the hitech manufacturing/semiconductor industry with a focus on AI/ML technologies.
Deep understanding of semiconductor processes, AI/ML frameworks, and algorithm development.
Proven track record of leading complex projects and teams, with the ability to influence and drive consensus at the executive level.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
Preferred
Experience working in a consulting environment.
Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in AI/ML, hitech manufacturing semiconductors.
Published research or contributions to the field of AI/ML hitech/industrial manufacturing semiconductors.
CAD/CAM, PLM, Catia, Solidworks, 2D/3D engineering design
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), metrology, and yield improvement techniques.
Knowledge of various semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including wafer fabrication tools, metrology tools, and test equipment.
Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
Understanding of semiconductor market trends, supply chain dynamics, and customer needs.
Ability to analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Skills in planning production capacity and optimizing yield.
Experience in managing complex projects, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
Understanding of financial metrics, such as ROI, NPV, and payback period.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for business growth and improvement.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to lead and mentor team members.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
