Responsibilities

Codes, tests, documents and implements programs according to the specifications.

Provides moderately complex to complex technical and production support to end-users.

Participates in and conducts peer reviews as needed.

Participates in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks.

Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Reviews and analyses writing program specifications.

Reviews design of programs of routine complexity and for basic enhancements to existing programs.

Recommends changes to client software based on information such as client feedback, language changes and new technology.

Required

6+ years of programming experience with C language and Oracle Pro\C on UNIX and/or Linux.

Experience with design principles and the end-to-end software development life cycle (analysis, problem-solving, design, creation, troubleshooting, testing).

Strong knowledge of batch processing concepts and techniques, such as scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, etc.

Preferred

Any experience with Healthcare, Medicaid and Medicare systems is highly preferred.

Familiarity with Python is a plus.
