Responsibilities
Analyze security alerts, assess and triage as needed for investigations/incident response
Participate in a wide range of security programs and services, building and running security information systems and tools.
Handle service-related tickets/slack messages from community members.
Promulgate security best practices through automation, education, and collaboration.
Maintain familiarity with current InfoSec issues, trends, incidents, tools, and practices relevant to Stanford.

Required
Bachelor’s degree plus three years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
A minimum of three years of experience as a contributing member of an enterprise-oriented technology team.
Minimum of three years of operational experience in one or more of these fields: systems engineering, deployment/automations engineering, endpoint engineering, authentication, log analysis, cloud administration, or network administration.
You’re a well-rounded, critical thinker.
Demonstrated growth mindset and desire to make things better.
Deep knowledge of modern information technology systems and strong interest in cybersecurity.
Strong written and oral communications.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Conviction, Curiosity, and Collegiality.
Preferred
Prefer at least five years of increasingly technical work experience.
Prefer working knowledge of SIEM like Splunk or Elasticsearch.
Prefer experience in large enterprise security environment and cloud security.
Python or other software engineering experience is a plus.
