Responsibilities
The Facilities Manager will support a portfolio of schools within our California region.
This role will involve the day-to-day management of all facilities needs within that portfolio.
Ticket Management. The Facilities Manager will be the owner of our team’s ticket intake system, ensuring that all requests are handled quickly and professionally.
Customer Service. We are seeking a person with strong customer-service experience. This person will be the first line of defense for our schools. We expect this person to creatively collaborate with Heads of School to provide the best possible solution for any given facilities issue.
Vendor Management. The Facilities Manager will source and manage relationships with local vendors in areas such as HVAC, cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and general repairs.
Contract Management. The Facilities Manager will source and manage contractual relationships with local vendors and independent contractors.
This person will manage all aspects of small construction and maintenance projects including budget, schedule, scope of work coordination, contract and proposal negotiations, insurance verification, permits and inspections, design coordination and collaboration with various departments within the company.
Oversee all major maintenance projects at existing schools. This person will oversee major maintenance projects including roof replacements, HVAC replacement, and environmental issues including mold remediation, and/or hazardous materials discovery and abatement.
This person will oversee proper documentation and electronic file storage of all aspects of construction and maintenance projects.

Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
3-5 years of professional experience in a facilities management role
Excellent communication and follow-through skills
A passion for education and a sense of humour
Technical computer skills
Preferred
Experience in school-based operations or facilities
Strong excel or data visualization skills
Experiencing managing a ticketing system
Experience working with third party vendors
