Responsibilities
Enter into and maintain a nurse protocol agreement with Nurse Practitioners, ensuring compliance with Georgia state requirements.
Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Nurse Practitioners, ensuring high standards of psychiatric care.
Be available for regular remote consultations with NPs, offering expertise and support in complex cases and clinical decision-making.
Ensure that all practices comply with state laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to NP supervision.
Foster open and effective remote communication with NPs and other healthcare team members to promote a collaborative care environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to the supervision and nurse protocol agreement as required by state regulations. (Review 10% of charts on a quarterly basis and within 30 days when an adverse event occurs)
Stay current with best practices, advances in psychiatry, and changes in healthcare regulations that impact NP practice.

Required
Active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of Georgia.
Board-certified in Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent psychiatry.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry preferred.
Prior experience working in a nurse protocol/collaborative agreement or supervisory role with Nurse Practitioners is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective remote interaction.
Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing NP practice and collaborative agreements in Georgia.
Maintains active professional liability insurance.
