Responsibilities

Design, implement and deliver 1, 3, 5 year business plans in line with corporate guidelines and growth strategies
Align with regional marketing teams to identify market trends, product portfolio gaps and market development opportunities and initiate these directives throughout the Americas
Lead the technical business to develop local, national and international product portfolios to offer the best products suitable for the individual market needs
Lead sales teams to identify local, regional and international key accounts business needs and develop bespoke solutions to grow accounts through value added sales
Inspire/influence sales teams across the Americas to implement market development initiatives to strengthen relationships with customers
Work with technical laboratories to offer commercial teams & customers product training; increasing value added propositions and strengthen market positioning
Project management: coordinate with different departments in customer organizations to ensure right projects are being developed.
Achieve the agreed business development targets by expanding market penetration & increase market share.
Deliver and assist with Merger and Acquisitions
Work closely with finance to deliver accountable and accurate forecasts for the Life Science business

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or related subject) or Marketing or Business
Extensive leadership experience leading multi-discipline/national technical and commercial teams
Proven experience selling/working with specialty ingredients used within the food, pharma and/or nutraceutical industry
10+ years commercial/sales leadership experience
P&L management experience
Ability to evaluate markets and utilize market trends to design, implement and drive strategic market initiatives to grow market share
Experience working within a dynamic matrix management environment
Exceptional communication, organizational and analytical skills
Based in the US with ability to travel frequently

Preferred

MBA (highly advantageous) but not essential
