Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment processes.

Use infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) to automate resource provisioning.

Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud-related issues to maintain uptime.

Use tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or GCP Operations Suite for diagnostics and alerting.

Work with cross-functional teams (development, DevOps, architecture) to define cloud strategies and solutions.

Provide guidance and mentorship on cloud best practices to team members.

Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing architecture.

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing.

Required

Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with networking concepts such as VPNs, VPCs, DNS, and load balancers.

Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and configuration management systems.

Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud environments.

Understanding of data storage and database services in the cloud.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or a related role.

Preferred

Federal Experience is a plus.

Required Security clearance.
