Responsibilities

Own, execute, and deliver sales, profit targets, and business plans for North America
Identify and implement an opportunity pipeline, then develop and execute strategies for generating new business utilizing industry best practices
Increase share in the existing market while exploring new geographical markets and segments
Manage joint business plans with key retail partners in conjunction with Key Account Managers
Manage the development of strategic account plans that align with long-term plans for the company
Coach and support members of the sales team to ensure targets relating to sales revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction are met
Prepare product specific strategies for managing commercial change within core markets
Prepare and present reporting on sales activities, new business development, and forecasting
Provide feedback to enhance go-to-market strategy and solution development

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
Minimum 10 years sales experience in classic consumer goods/retail with a minimum 5 years at a manager level
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of Key Account Managers, develop strong relationships, and influence senior stakeholders
Excellent customer relationship and key account management skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, and communicative skills with the ability to accurately convey complex concepts to all levels of the organisation
Outstanding negotiation and data analysis skills to maximize company ROI
Excellent understanding and application of strategic selling processes, key account management, techniques, and technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Knowledge of the equestrian industry preferred
Experience with EDI, CRM, and ERP systems preferred; NetSuite experience highly preferred
