Responsibilities
Champion Loan Processing: Ensure all loan applications are complete, properly scored in the Loan Origination System, and accurate from start to finish, aligning with regulatory and policy requirements.
Collaborate to Clear Conditions: Work closely with members, branch staff, and underwriters to fulfill underwriting conditions and secure final loan approvals.
Navigate Complex Documentation: Analyze and process income verification documents, insurance binders, purchase orders, and other critical paperwork to determine credit and collateral acceptability.
Streamline Loan Closings: Prepare loan documents for member signatures, oversee funding and disbursement, and coordinate final terms with dealers or title companies.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BECU loan policies, pricing structures, and consumer lending regulations, ensuring every loan meets required standards.
Deliver Member-Centric Service: Provide prompt, professional, and courteous support to members, resolving inquiries and concerns efficiently to enhance their experience.
Master Multiple Channels: Manage multiple loan queues, email inboxes, and tasks simultaneously, maintaining service levels and meeting deadlines.
Support Post-Closing Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of closed loans to confirm all documents and conditions are accurate and complete.
Collaborate with External Partners: Engage with external vendors to ensure collateral conditions are met and transactions are finalized effectively.
Promote Product Knowledge: Guide members in exploring loan alternatives and solutions tailored to their needs.
Contribute Beyond the Role: Cultivate a general knowledge of all Credit Union departments, fostering collaboration to support organizational goals.

Required
Associate degree in Business, or equivalent work or educational experience required.
Minimum one year experience in Consumer Lending required.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing job responsibilities.
Thorough knowledge of all RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, and ECOA rules and regulations.
Proficient PC skills, with the ability to learn new software.
Proficient math and basic accounting skills.
Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
