Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage health education programs, workshops to promote culturally and linguistically appropriate education programs for the West Philadelphia community residents.
Design and coordinate educational material, workshops and programs for the multi-site cancer initiative, coordinate events, and collaborate with internal and external partners to conduct and integrate cancer education programming across West Philadelphia to expand the reach of health education messages.
Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions on cancer health-related topics for the community.
Develop and utilize various marketing techniques and strategies, to enhance awareness of the Lazarex Cancer Wellness HUB initiative. This person will create, design, coordinate and manage all marketing and communication strategies to reach target audiences. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.
Build partnerships, communicate and coordinate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and local agencies to leverage resources and enhance the cancer health education initiative.
Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, websites, and other communication platforms to enhance outreach. - Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess the impact and effectiveness of cancer education programs analyzing the data.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
Master’s degree in public health preferred or similar experience, health education, marketing, communications, or similar discipline or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
Preferred
Proven experience in managing programs, health education program development, and implementation.
Demonstrated skills in utilizing various marketing and communication strategies to enhance program visibility and connection to services.
Strong knowledge of health education theories, strategies, and best practices.
Program evaluation and data collection skills.
A strong desire to serve in the community and a background in community health, community engagement, community outreach, marketing, and communications.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable, as programming necessitates.
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends as community programs dictate.
