Responsibilities

Serve as a technical escalation point of contact for Wholesale NOC team members

Provide fault management and technical analysis for customer circuits and network repair

Analyze the performance of network systems and tools

Perform engineering design evaluations of customer circuits and the Windstream national network

Provide technical leadership and direction in areas of expertise for engineering staff

Perform administrative work relating to projects and assignments

Required

Extensive experience with telecom services including Ethernet, DWDM waves, Fiber Tower backhaul, and TDM

Computer software knowledge to include Microsoft Office, custom planning tools and databases.

Good analytical, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize projects

Proficient knowledge of accepted engineering practices

Analytical problem-solving skills

Strong and energetic work ethic with the ability to be a team player

College degree and 5-7 years’ experience or 9 + years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required
