Responsibilities
Responsible for recommending policies and providing guidance and interpretations documents to firms that are in compliance with ISQM 1 and QC1000 as applicable.
Build relationships with and liaise with the largest BDO firms in the global network when developing policies and guidance.
Lead discussions with developers to update/enhance SoQM tooling and dashboarding which will be efficient and effective for firms to use to document their systems of quality management and monitoring that is in compliance with the requirements of ISQM 1 and QC 1000.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the SoQM library content (quality objectives, risks, responses and monitoring tests) for deployment to firms within the SoQM platform.
Preparation and delivery of monthly calls to those with operational responsibility for the firm’s systems of quality management (Heads of A&A Quality Management) and those with operational responsibility for the monitoring and remediation process (Heads of Monitoring and remediation).
Ad hoc ISQM1/SoQM support for firms responding to queries to the Global ISQM 1 mailbox.
Preparation of reporting to BDO Global Board, Global committees and regulators as appropriate.
Participation in and delivery of sessions at BDO Global Conferences as required.

Required
Qualified auditor with at least 10 years experience post qualified and a deep knowledge of audit quality and the design and implementation of audit quality systems under ISQM 1.
A good awareness of the requirements of QC1000.
Ability to be independent and decisive, demonstrating high levels of sound professional judgment.
An excellent communicator (written and oral) and experience of communicating with colleagues in different countries around the world, with a good appreciation of the cultural differences.
High levels of proficiency in the English language as all policies, guidance and training materials are in English.
Excellent presentation skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to build rapport with BDO colleagues, including subject matter experts and external vendors.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members, and to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
Proficient in English.
