Responsibilities
First-pass review of all freelance editor V1 cuts
Meeting regularly with the channel producer and team
Maintaining quality control across all video content
Setting and enforcing editing standards/guidelines
Deep understanding of YouTube algorithm and retention optimization
Full stack editing from rough cut to final
Developing SOPs and quality guidelines
Sourcing b-roll and assets
Animating motion graphics
Mixing audio, SFX, and music
Meeting upload deadlines consistently
Strong project management and organizational skills
Maintaining clear communication and project status updates
Adhering to all brand standards
Highly collaborative and communicative via Slack

Required
US-based (remote)
4+ years YouTube editing experience
Advanced English proficiency
Proven video editing expertise
Experience with educational/B2B content
Strong motion graphics capabilities
Track record of growing YouTube channels
Experience analyzing retention data
Fast-paced work style with ability to adapt
Preferred
3D animation
Experience leading editors
Short form editing for reels and YT shorts
Previous agency or startup experience
