Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact with parks for project needs that will include coordination/collaboration with regional offices and program centers regarding various funding sources/project needs including park direct charge projects assigned to Denver Service Center.

Has primary responsibility for the successful completion and execution of all assigned projects.

Identify discipline needs and selection criteria for A/E IDIQ selection.

Serves as the contracting officer's representative and works in a collaborative manner with contracting staff.

Conducts project briefings including regional work sessions and the service wide Investment Review board, responds to congressional inquiries, and other information requests.

Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).

If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.

You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 5 nights per month.

You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.

You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.

The position to which you will be appointed is subject to a financial disclosure reporting requirement and you will be required to complete a new entrant Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450) within 30 days of your appointment.

To qualify for this position at the 0801 Civil Engineer job series, you must possess one of the following basic qualifications by close of the announcement: Education: Successfully completed a degree in Engineering.

To qualify for this position at the 0807 Landscape Architect job series, you must possess one of the following basic qualifications by close of the announcement: Education: Successfully completed a degree in landscape architecture or landscape design.

To qualify for this position at the 0808 Architecture job series, you must possess one of the following basic qualifications by close of the announcement: EDUCATION: Successfully completed a degree in architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines.

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
