Responsibilities
Develop compliance work plan and auditing and monitoring plan and assists with the development of well-focused audits and monitoring methods with respect to specific issues within his/her expertise.
Review, generate and disseminate compliance related reports.
Utilize critical thinking skills as a self-starter, problem resolution, analysis, and negotiation.
Enhance investigation processes to ensure efficiency minimize organizational risk and promote customer satisfaction.
Maintain deep knowledge of federal program billing requirements
Provide guidance and compliance insight for policies and procedures as it relates to Medicare, Medicaid and other Federal or State regulatory billing compliance and clinical operations.
Carryout effective high profile investigations of internal and external reports of compliance related activities.
Manage several diverse projects/assignments simultaneously
Serves as a partner with Revenue Cycle leadership to optimize revenue cycle policies and processes.
Develop, coordinate, and participate in a educational and training programs that focus on the elements of the compliance program.
Perform annual and ongoing risk assessments.
Develop goals and objectives for the Department in coordination with the Corporate Compliance Officer.
Builds develop and maintain operations to support strategic direction for areas of responsibility.
Works with organization administration, legal counsel, and other related parties to represent the organization's compliance interests with external parties (state or local government bodies) who undertake to adopt or amend compliance related legislation, regulation, or standard.
Cooperates with the Federal regulators, State regulators and/or other legal entities in any compliance reviews or investigations.
Reports to Vice President and Corporate Compliance Officer.

Required
Bachelors degree in business, health-care administration, area of clinical expertise, or other related field.
7 years experience in the field Extensive familiarity with healthcare relevant legislation, compliance laws and regulations.
Knowledge of leadership, management, and quality improvement concepts.
Knowledge of coding and healthcare billing requirements.
Knowledgeable of current national healthcare policies and trends in political environment.
Knowledge of compliance program guidance and industry standards.
Experienced in multiple facets of a complex health system.
Demonstrated experience providing leadership and direction in a manner that cultivates respect and influences behavior at all levels of an organization.
Strong communication skills.
Strong critical thinking skills and independent judgment.
Preferred
Masters or JD degree preferred
Compliance certification such as Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.
