Responsibilities
Create and maintain an environment that promotes Health & Safety.
Full P&L responsibilities.
Provide strong and independent leadership to multi-site divisions.
Exceed customer expectations.
Develop new products and technology that will create 'stickiness' for the business.
Optimize plant operations and implement a culture of continuous improvement.
Establish culture of collaboration, growth, and accountability not only within divisions, but throughout all of SPG.
Management of P&L of the division.
Review the financial results of the divisions as well as individual sites, comparing them with the company’s objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
Oversight of cash management operations within the divisions. Managing account administration, reviewing and implementing improvement in cash management, and ensuring financial obligations are met by the divisions.
Ensure reliable and effective inventory and supply chain management systems are in place and operational throughout the divisions.
Ensure highest quality standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and/or stated standards (ISO & FDA).
Plan, develop, and oversee implementation of comprehensive operating plans with the goals of continually increased throughput, consistent quality process control, and on time delivery.
Direct and maintain accountability for divisional KPI’s.
Evaluate and act on new purchasing/design/manufacturing/distribution ideas with the intent to support increased demand from current accounts as well as enabling the Company to drive Organic Growth.
Prepare short and long-range operating plans with identification of specific priorities, which address the needs identified in the forecasts prepared by sales, for current or future business activity considering the Company’s direction and levels of expected profitability.
Together with SPG Commercial Leadership, create a growth strategy and set clear prioritization throughout the divisions.
Manage effective customer communications. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communicate and manage customer expectations – i.e. Quote lead times – OTIF.
Assume responsibility for reviewing new product quotations with sales, assuring adequate resources are available to take on new business and to provide a timely reply to quotation requests.
Participate actively as a key member of the SPG management team in establishing long-term growth and profitability goals for the Divisions/Company.
Reports on monthly performance to the SPG leadership team and quarterly to the BOD.
Communicate regularly with employees on performance and strategies that will ensure the division will achieve both short- and long-term goals.
Develop strategies and programs to keep SPG a leader in new product development, manufacturing technology and resource utilization.
Develop and submit a thoroughly documented budget for assigned operations and controls expenditures within approved budgetary parameters.
Keep the President informed of all-important matters, which may require immediate action or attention at that level in the organization.
Ability to apply considerable judgment, expertise, and experience in handling problems and opportunities where clear precedents are not defined.
Ability to make sound judgments on particularly sensitive or difficult accounts and balance the best interests of SPG with those of the customer involved.
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships, which contribute to a positive results-oriented climate.
Ability to establish goals and pursue activities leading to growth and development of greater management skills.

Required
Management, Business and/or Engineering Degree or advanced degree is highly desirable. Appropriate experience may be considered
Minimum of ten years managerial experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
Experience running a multi-site, medical device manufacturing company, or business unit
Demonstrated leadership achievements in manufacturing management
Proven ability to successfully drive continuous improvement programs
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven conceptual and hands-on technical capability
Proven grasp of overall business picture
Strong grasp of U.S. and International economic factors and business cycles as they relate to purchasing and to running a manufacturing operation
Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop personnel
