Responsibilities
Establishes and effectively communicates and leads all aspects of the company’s information technology strategy, work, and systems to adequately support business requirements and optimize business processes.
Develops and continually refines the company’s IT policies and procedures, including the corporate IT Security Policy and related training programs. Establishes the systems and processes to ensure business continuity in the event of natural disaster, system failure and other events that could disrupt the business.
Responsible for the management, implementation, and usability of the company’s information technology. This includes, but is not limited to, infrastructure, hardware, software, databases, service delivery, application development and support, analytics, information management, security, and healthcare privacy/compliance.
Leads and manages the company’s internal and outsourced IT resources and supports the company’s culture, mission, and values.
Works in a consultative fashion with other leaders as a business partner advising on technologies that improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Researches and evaluates new technologies for their ability to address the company’s technology and business needs.
Acts as a good steward of the company’s resources and ensures control of departmental budgets.
Oversees projects and assignments within the IT department, including promptly modernizing and upgrading systems as needed.
Stays abreast of changes in relevant technology, competition, stakeholder and customer preferences, and regulatory requirements that may affect the company’s positioning in the marketplace.
Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements that apply to information technology systems operations.
Vendor management and contracts negotiations.
Travel required.
Build and maintain relationships with biopharma partners and technology teams.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in information technology; including 5+ years as an IT leader or comparable management-level experience.
Proven track record of sustained success, including management and strategic experience.
Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
Expert knowledge and experience building and managing complex data infrastructure.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to address sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Be able to self-project manage, competing projects across different business functions.
Preferred
Master’s degree in aforementioned fields.
Background in Information Security/Compliance, including working with and overseeing risk management and mitigation.
