Responsibilities

Communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and program issues under review, and deadlines, and timeframes for completion.
Designs, plans, organizes, and directs epidemiology/scientific studies, surveys, and investigations in accordance with Center-wide strategic direction.
Provides Epidemiological advice and assistance in the resolution of technical issues that include significant barriers to substantive Center program and project delivery.

Required

U.S. Citizenship is required.

All employees must pass a security investigation.
Time-in-Grade Requirement: 52-weeks of comparable experience at the next lowest grade for current Federal employees.
Certification of Accuracy: All information concerning eligibility and qualification is subject to investigation and verification.
You must meet ALL requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Direct Deposit is required for federal salary payments.
You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Degree: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences.
Specialized experience: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-13, including leading and conducting epidemiological studies or surveys related to tobacco and/or other regulated products.
Experience advising on and/or providing technical epidemiological information, assisting with workload distribution, and developing recommendations to resolve epidemiological or public health related issues.
