Responsibilities
Airfoil polar simulations using xfoi/MSES/CFDl or similar tools.
Airfoil design and working with wind tunnel polars will be required to clean-up and/or introduce effect of add-ons like vortex generators and/or serrations.
Multi-objective blade optimal design, taking aero, structure, control and loads into account in design process.
Power curve validation of wind turbines and Root Cause Analysis of under-performing turbines.
Wind turbine loads simulations/assessment using in-house and commercial tools.
Conduct field experiments to validate in-flight blade response and its effect on power performance.
Visit prototype turbines on as needed basis for power performance related quality checks/tests.
Reviews (with aerodynamic focus) of Blade models, evaluate aero risks and offer mitigation solution.
Develop tools (typically Matlab/python based) for task specific requirements.
Add-on kits evaluations.
3D CFD simulation.

Required
Experience of airfoil aerodynamics/performance and wind turbines aerodynamics (BEM theory)
Matlab/python/Fortran/C/C++ experience, including some knowledge of concepts like Object Oriented Programming and optimization
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people of different cultures
Willingness to travel Internationally to global head office
Preferred
Some knowledge of Python is desired but not essential
Experience with handling big data sets is desired but not required
Experience of IEC standards 61400-1/-11/-12 is desirable
Exposure to optimisation algorithms
