Responsibilities
Design & Develop: Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
Public Health Systems: Build and maintain systems processing HL7 messages, with a focus on immunization data exchange and integration.
Data Integrity: Ensure secure, accurate, and efficient data transmission between systems to support critical public health initiatives.
Microservices Architecture: Develop RESTful APIs and services to facilitate seamless communication between components in a microservices-based ecosystem.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, data scientists, and public health experts, to deliver impactful solutions.
Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges, such as optimizing data flows, scaling infrastructure, and improving system reliability.
Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive technical documentation and advocate for coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

Required
Deep expertise in Java (8+), with a proven track record in backend development.
Extensive experience building microservices and APIs using Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development, with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
Preferred
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) tools.
