Responsibilities

Report directly to the Tax Manager.

Assist the Sales Tax Director and work with the Tax Staff to achieve Tax Department objectives relative to research, planning, compliance, and audits to minimize tax liabilities and exposures.

Work closely with various client Finance Departments and outside professionals to accomplish company and department objectives and complete assigned projects.

Manage sales tax compliance process with third-party compliance partner.

Perform account reconciliations for all sales tax liability accounts.

Research and planning in all areas of federal, state, and local sales and use, and property taxes.

Interact and effectively communicate with various business segment leaders regarding sales tax issues and research.

Support the issuance and collection of tax exemption certificates.

Facilitate personal property tax and real estate tax filings with third-party provider.

Work with tax auditors collecting data for document requests and responding to inquiries.

Make recommendations for and initiate improvements and efficiencies to tax processes.
