Responsibilities

Edit and publish stories, taking the time to verify content for accuracy, checking additional sources as needed.

Write timely and engaging news articles, written for a professional audience but capable of connecting with consumers.

Create compelling copy, from headlines to social posts to marketing/promotions.

Produce and send emails.

Help ensure the best possible RealEstateNews.com site experience, managing stories placement/timing.

Stay connected with the team, which works remotely across the United States, via Slack and similar tools.

Required

You are an experienced editor and skilled writer, accustomed to working in a fast-paced news or content marketing environment.

You have at least 3-5 years of experience in digital media.

You are adept at both developmental editing/story shaping and line editing.

You have experience with real estate, business or related news and information.

You are comfortable juggling multiple assignments and changing gears on the fly to accommodate breaking news, shifting deadlines and different needs.

You are adept with technology, ideally having experience with content management systems (e.g., Wordpress) and email systems (e.g., MailChimp). Training on our CMS will be provided.

You are conversant with AP Style.

You have experience with SEO.
