Responsibilities
Perform transmission line design. Utilise knowledge of systems ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
Perform modelling using PLS-CADD, structural analysis, sag-tension calculations, clearance reports etc.
Prepare BOM and provide supervision for installation.
Site visits and travelling out of town for short periods, when required.
Qualification

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering.
Require 3+ years’ experience in transmission line design.
Proficient with PLS-CADD.
Experience in an EPC environment, preparing cost effective designs.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI and ANSI that apply to transmission design.
Preferred
A PE license or E.I.T is preferred.
