Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI.

Utilize Fabric to integrate and manage data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.

Conduct operational data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

Design and implement data models and data pipelines to support analytics and reporting.

Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Create and maintain documentation for data processes, reports, and dashboards.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis and BI tools.

Provides financially informed analytical support, understanding the financial and accounting impact of business processes, and evaluate current and future business activities.

Create new and supplementary reporting methods for management use in proactive problem solving.

Prepare monthly financial analysis KPI’s and operations reports for management.

Participate in new technology implementations.

Ad hoc reports and projects.

Reporting & Analytics: Create reports in Power BI; strong data analytics experience with SQL and Python.

SQL Expertise: Skilled in operations like joins, sub-queries, tracing, and performance tuning.

Presentation Skills: Expert in using Power BI and PowerPoint for compelling presentations and stakeholder engagement.

AI Technologies: Adaptive in utilizing AI technologies for data project solutions.

Programming Languages: Proficient in Python, R, SAS, and SQL.

Data Analysis & Processing: Experienced in SQL, VBA, data mining, data analysis, and data processing.

Data Visualization: Skilled in Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, and Power BI.

Machine Learning & AI: Knowledgeable in machine learning algorithms, regression, and classification.

Cloud & Big Data: Experienced with cloud computing, big data analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Virtual Machines.

Industry Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the logistics industry.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Power BI and Fabric, with strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling.

Data Integration: Experienced with data integration and ETL processes.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Independence & Multitasking: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Attention to Detail: Commitment to data accuracy and attention to detail

Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance

Preferred

2-3 years of experience in an accounting, financial analysis, or business analysis role, preferably in a medium to large sized company environment

Skill in large data analysis and interpretation in database management.

Displays a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while performing financial base research and implementations.

Advanced proficiency with accounting software (Netsuite), excel, PowerBi and financial planning software (Anaplan).

Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports.

Able to successfully perform moderate to complex account reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of budgets and internal controls.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a team player.

Effectively apply organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload, to problem solve, and to adapt to frequent interruptions and change.

Transportation industry experience preferred.
