Responsibilities
Research, recommend, and implement technology strategies to increase the quality and reliability of Business Wire applications, employee productivity, and operational efficiency
Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performance IT operations staff
Develop and execute a modern roadmap for cloud native, in-house developed, and SaaS solutions
Full responsibility for all IT infrastructure and operations
Oversee the administration of the corporate compute services to include cloud, SD-WAN, virtual compute, storage, backups, disaster recovery, and local area networks.
Maintain and enhance corporate telecommunications strategies (e.g. unified communications platforms)
Manage Network Operations, System Engineering, SRE, and Database Administration groups utilizing Agile methodology.
Drive the Change Management and Root Cause Analysis processes to ensure stability and continuing improvement in uptime
Develop, manage, and report on infrastructure and operational SLAs
Develop and implement a comprehensive SRE strategy to ensure systems/applications are highly available and reliable with minimal downtime or disruption to business operations
Identify and mitigate potential risks that could negatively impact system reliability and availability. This includes identifying potential failure points and developing contingency plans to minimize downtime

Required
10+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior management role
5+ years of experience managing global 24x7 hybrid cloud environments, cloud migration, and the modernization of legacy applications.
5+ years of experience in SRE or similar roles with a strong emphasis on root cause analysis, observability, and problem management
Expert understanding of and previous hands-on experience with data center, virtualization, IaC, infrastructure, back office, and engineering technologies.
Experience in CI and CD (GitOps Framework), DevSecOps automation and test automation with a drive for continual learning
Proven ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, and vendors
Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and technical skills to lead the day-to-day activities of the team and build strong relationships with the extended organization
Ability to manage multiple projects to completion
Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
