Responsibilities

Working closely with the upstream Linux kernel community to deliver new and innovative changes with a focus in memory management

Working closely with other Oracle groups to understand their requirements and deliver change supporting those requirements

Help mentor and guide junior engineers

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

6-10+ years of experience with the Linux kernel

Deep understanding of memory management in the Linux Kernel

Excellent understanding of the Linux development process and a consistent record of upstream contributions

Excellent C and assembly coding skills

Strong build, debug and test skills

Ability to evaluate and improve performance

A track record of delivering complex software projects in an open source community

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

Good leadership skills
