Responsibilities
Manage the institution's program for model risk governance.
Maintain and update the comprehensive inventory of models in use.
Assess and validate models during the partner onboarding process to ensure adherence to policy and quality benchmarks.
Conduct detailed evaluations of methodologies, from traditional statistical approaches to advanced machine learning techniques.
Collaborate across departments, including finance, risk, and partner teams, to proactively address model-related risks.
Ensure models comply with internal standards, are validated appropriately, and are adjusted methodically when changes are made.
Provide strategic input to improve model design or implementation while upholding oversight independence.

Required
A degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, engineering, or statistics.
5+ years of professional experience in developing, validating, or overseeing statistical or machine-learning models.
Solid understanding of risk governance frameworks and relevant industry regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively.
Knowledge of financial services products and the regulatory landscape.
