Responsibilities
Develop and review forms for prospective and existing specialty lines programs to ensure compliance.
Submit forms and rate filings to State Insurance Departments, addressing objections and inquiries promptly.
Track state insurance department bulletins for regulatory changes and communicate updates to underwriters, administrators, agents, and brokers.
Interpret state insurance statutes and provide actionable compliance guidance to relevant teams.
Coordinate, prepare, and distribute regulatory bulletins as required.
Assist compliance teams to meet project deadlines.
Manage internal audits to ensure compliance throughout product onboarding and sales processes.
Undertake additional projects as assigned by EVP, VP, or Director of Compliance.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
4–10 years in insurance compliance, with a focus on commercial and personal lines; surplus lines experience preferred.
Proven experience in team oversight.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive and professional writing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Analytical skills to assess issues and provide actionable solutions.
Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Proficient in legislative, regulatory, and statutory research to ensure compliance.
Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred
Completion of professional designations such as CPCU, ACP, ARC, or AINS is a plus.
Oversight of MGAs, underwriting, or claims experience.
