Responsibilities
Lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction. Ensure timely updates and reporting across the team while exhibiting strong leadership skills.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Manage the consolidation of financial statements and oversee the elimination process to ensure compliance with accounting standards and proper financial presentation.
Assist in managing the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and ensuring all financial information is provided in a timely manner.
Manage the lease accounting process, including compliance with applicable accounting standards and preparing relevant financial reports.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring they align with the overall organizational goals.
Process and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and the coordination of audit-related tasks.
Work with financial software, specifically Lawson (Infor), and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data entry and reporting.
Provide general administrative support to the finance department, as needed, including managing schedules and handling financial documentation.

Required
A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
Strong experience with consolidation and elimination accounting processes.
Expertise in annual audits and lease accounting.
Proficient in Lawson - Infor or similar financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Preferred
Healthcare and not-for-profit accounting experience
