Responsibilities

Lead and certify Medicare Advantage bid development for both Part C and Part D
Health insurance product development, modeling, and analysis in the Medicare Advantage market
Establish pricing assumptions, trends, and methodologies
Analyze medical and pharmacy claims, benchmarking against industry standards
Conduct feasibility studies for new product launches or operational expansions for payers, providers, or payer-provider partnerships
Support regulatory changes and their implementation
Evaluate provider contracts and assess the impact of changes on rates
Analyze value-based care and risk-sharing arrangements from both payer and provider perspectives
Perform opportunity assessments for total-cost-of-care management and population health strategies
Evaluate risk scores and assist in improving risk score coding/capture
Assess care management programs

Required

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
7+ years of actuarial experience in the Medicare Advantage industry, preferably with actuarial consulting experience
Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) credentials
Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing complex, medium-to-large-scale projects
Strong track record of rapid learning, high performance, and professional development
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Highly motivated with a flexible and dynamic work approach
Proficiency in MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA, or other programming languages
