Responsibilities
Responsible for the employee lifecycle processes such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave administration, and offboarding.
Manage the employee onboarding process, including offer letters, new hire orientation, I-9 verification, welcome meetings, and record administration.
Serve as the HRIS administrator and maintain people data across internal systems to ensure 100% data integrity.
Process biweekly payroll and be able to troubleshoot issues confidently with a payroll provider.
Manage paid time off policy, worker's compensation, and leave administration.
Provide reporting and analytics related to people metrics.
Administer the company’s 401(k) program and other employee benefits.
Proactively identify opportunities and improvements to the employee experience and partner with the leadership team to develop and implement scalable solutions.
Employee engagement and satisfaction initiatives and metrics
Support recruiting by providing compliance guidance and recruiting best practices.
Recruit for administrative and management positions for the organization.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all employee information.
Provide expert knowledge of WA state and federal employment law.
Responsible for adhering to HR compliance rules and regulations.

Required
2+ years of experience in managing human resources administration and operations
Proficient in HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience preferred, but not required
Solid alignment with Pepper’s Core Values
Proven ability to create and maintain HR operational functions for an organization in growth mode.
A solid understanding of HR compliance, practices, WA state employment law, payroll, and leave management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and build genuine relationships.

Open to feedback and willing to learn.
Highly organized and efficient.

Preferred
Experience in Paylocity is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of / familiarity with EOS is helpful but not required.
