Responsibilities
Perform the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Perform the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and applications.
Manage and optimize enterprise systems, including physical and virtual servers (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Configure and maintain network components such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Ensure reliable network connectivity for all users and systems.
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data.
Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, perform risk assessments, and apply security patches.
Oversee backup and disaster recovery plans.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Analyze logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Handle escalated technical issues and resolve complex system problems.
Provide advanced support to other IT staff and end users.
Plan and implement system upgrades and migrations.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT infrastructure.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Prepare performance reports and system audits.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks (e.g., backups, updates).
Use tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline administrative tasks.

Required
5-7+ years of relative experience
Proficiency in system administration tools and technologies (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory)
Deep understanding of networking protocols and tools (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and applications
