Responsibilities
Own the SEO P&L to meet weekly scorecard, quarterly targets, and organizational goals for retention, growth, and profitability.
Lead, manage, and hold accountable your team of Sr. SEO Consultants in achieving client results, managing client expectations, and meeting deliverable quality and timelines.
Increase client LTV by building meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders (VP, C-Level) on all client teams under the SEO P&L.
Scale the SEO team's capability and capacity to support company growth targets.
Recruiting, hiring, and growing Sr. SEO Consultants for multi-year tenures.
Maintain full adoption and continuous improvement of operational and SEO playbooks and training.
Deliver energetic and expert presentations to founders, executives & in-house marketers.
Successful onboarding, first 100 days, ongoing program execution, and multi-year retention of SEO clients.
Develop and execute SEO department growth plans that contribute to company targets and goals, including revenue, profitability, client retention, and headcount budget.
Weekly touchpoints with senior client stakeholders to share progress & performance insights and growth opportunities.
Follow a proven system for qualifying, proposing, and closing cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Exercise thoughtful persistence with follow-ups to negotiate and close the deal.
Advocate SEO expertise across all teams in the organization, including cross-functional knowledge sharing with internal teams, and cross-selling revenue opportunities with clients.

Required
Proven track record of growing SEO clients through consultative selling.
Adept at anticipating client needs for upsell & cross-sell opportunities.
High bias for action to close the deal.
Deep subject matter expertise in SEO, including Technical SEO, Content Marketing, and Digital PR.
Ability to direct SEO strategy based on experience of driving holistic marketing efforts for B2B SaaS teams.
Strong situational leadership skills to motivate, coach, delegate, and prescribe to the situation at hand.
Natural problem solver that's strategic, resourceful, and decisive.
Ability to demonstrate calmness, confidence, charisma, and subject matter expertise in all communications.
Effective facilitator of conversations with internal and external teams.
Ability to take 100% accountability for wins and losses.
Excellent written, verbal, and video communication skills.
Ability to deliver energetic and expert presentations to founders, executives & in-house marketers.
Preferred
Experience in recruiting, hiring, and growing Sr. SEO Consultants for multi-year tenures.
Experience in maintaining full adoption and continuous improvement of operational and SEO playbooks and training.
Staying on top of B2B SaaS and SEO industry trends.
