Responsibilities

Contact borrowers in early stages of mortgage delinquency (60 days or less) to collect past-due payments while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Gather financial information from borrowers, assess their ability to repay, and establish repayment plans if needed.

Address inquiries from internal departments and borrowers regarding mortgage loans in early delinquency stages.

Communicate state-specific compliance requirements during calls and follow operational risk control standards.

Investigate and escalate suspect situations (e.g., fraud, lack of insurance) and resolve account issues, referring complex problems to supervisors.

Understand workflows for account corrections and ensure all maintenance tasks are accurately completed.
