Responsibilities
Makes underwriting decisions on matters raised by Advocus agents and staff.
Conducts staff and Advocus agent training on underwriting-related topics.
Develops and revises underwriting content on the Advocus website.
Updates written underwriting materials and notifies Advocus members of changes to the guidelines.
Handles complex and problem files.
Provides legal and technical assistance to Advocus staff and independent closers.
Participates in trade organization- and industry-related working groups as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Required
5+ years of regular real estate practice.
Strong research and writing skills.
Critical thinking.
Excellent customer service skills.
Attentive to detail.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure with compressed deadlines in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Advocus title policy programs.
Ability to work with a diverse and challenging customer base.
Law Degree and active license to practice law in Illinois.
Preferred
Public speaking experience is a plus.
