Responsibilities
Manage and provide oversight to the Stock Assessment Program to include leading scientific professionals in the planning, development, and reporting on activities and projects of this program.
Perform and direct fisheries stock assessments and advanced statistical analyses in support of fisheries management.
Represent the DMF on state, regional, and federal committees.
Develop written reports and provide presentations to the Marine Fisheries Commission, associated committees, scientific audiences, and the public.

Required
Experience conducting fisheries stock assessments.
Experience conducting statistical analyses.
Experience presenting statistical results to the public and/or colleagues.
Experience using modeling software to develop and/or run models.
Master's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
