Responsibilities

Build and support server infrastructure and systems.

Maintain the server and virtual machine environments.

Manage physical and virtual server environments using sound processes and procedures.

Handle service, incident, and change request ticket management.

Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Required

Experience in healthcare settings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues related to server administration and operations, system software, storage management, backup methodology, virtualization, monitoring and management tools, business continuity, and high availability solutions.

Ability to provide hardware estimates and support hardware and related applications.

Experience in analyzing, coordinating, and implementing infrastructure projects.

Ability to monitor system performance and capacity, and provide periodic system status reports to department management.

Ability to analyze reports to identify trends and opportunities for process and technology enhancements.

Ability to provide cost and trend analysis and resolutions to critical infrastructure problems.
