Responsibilities
Manage and administer the OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) environment, including compute, storage, network, and security services.
Manage and deliver full end-to-end cloud migrations.
Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of OCI resources, promptly addressing any issues or anomalies.
Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable architectures within Oracle OCI.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates to provision and manage Oracle OCI resources.
Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OCI services, Linux operating systems, and associated infrastructure.
Implement and maintain effective security controls, including access management, data encryption, and compliance with industry regulations.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud technologies and tools, providing recommendations based on industry trends and best practices.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required
7+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a Cloud Solution Architect in with strong experience in administering and managing a complex Oracle OCI environment, inclusive of migration(s) to cloud (AWS), compute, storage, networking, and security services in a large environment.
Ability to function as an end-to-end expert in OCI especially merging networks, dynamic routing gateways, load balancers, etc.
Comfortable doing large OCI migrations.
Hands on experience performing some WebLogic Server Administration tasks (Install, Configuring Domains, Deploying Apps, Integrating Systems, etc.).
Proficiency in Linux administration tasks related to Linux internals, command-line tools, shell scripting, and system performance tuning.
Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Work history that demonstrates stability. (no job / project hoppers)
Able to successfully pass a federal background check.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (GC holder), based in the USA
Preferred
Experience with a variety of Cloud environments is a plus.
Exposure to Oracle DBA tasks and some experience with Exadata is preferred.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security best practices, including access management, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
Relevant certifications, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect or Linux certifications, are a plus.
