Responsibilities

Utilize your knowledge of DME products and services to assess patient needs and ensure the appropriate equipment is selected.
Stay up-to-date with product offerings and industry advancements.
Process insurance verifications and authorizations for Medicare, Workers' Compensation, and private insurance claims.
Collaborate with third-party administrators to resolve issues and expedite claims processing.
Coordinate with billing and insurance teams to ensure all patient eligibility and payment inquiries are handled effectively.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered service in every interaction.
Address patient and provider concerns with empathy and professionalism to ensure a positive experience.
Troubleshoot any issues with orders, insurance, or patient needs promptly and efficiently.
Enter patient information accurately and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
Assist with audits and reporting, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Work closely with billing, customer service, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless patient experience from intake to delivery.
Facilitate training for field reps to keep them informed of the latest regulations and best practices.

Required

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least two years in insurance, billing, or related medical office field with DME exposure
Strong knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with EHR systems, billing software, and HIPAA compliance
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with DME industry software such as Brightree, Salesforce, or HME Data Solutions
Multilingual skills to support diverse patient populations
Background in home healthcare or sales processes
Familiarity with federal and state regulations in the DME industry
