Responsibilities

Conduct independent and original research, which includes, but not limited to the following topics:

Using Wigner-Moyal formalism to develop a ray-based description of nonlinear wave-wave interactions in nonuniform and magnetized plasmas.

Using quantum field theory to develop a many-body description of relativistic-quantum plasmas.

Developing quantum algorithms for atomic physics problems in a plasma environment.

Perform theoretical analysis and/or develop computer codes.

Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.

Present at conferences and workshops.

Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

Required

PhD degree in Plasma Physics, Physics, Engineering, or related fields, before the position start.

Preferred

Strong publication record and prior research experience in related areas will be considered valuable.
