Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Set the example in driving individual user stories to completion from start to finish.
Assess and identify risks that may be present to achieving the team’s larger goals.
Document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
Collaborate/Partner: Work with our engineering teams and leaders to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
Quality & Security Focused: Drive implementation of functionally appropriate and technically sound solutions meeting all quality & security standards.
Continuous Improvement: Assist the team in achieving ambitious goals, providing regular feedback, and driving continuous improvement.
You will participate in all aspects of our software development lifecycle for cloud-based solutions, including planning, defining requirements, developing, and testing those solutions with the team.

Required
3+ years in the cloud and DevOps field, with a strong emphasis on security automation and compliance.
Proven track record for delivering fit-for-purpose technical solutions that balance complexity, performance, and maintainability.
Strong background in Linux systems automation with a mindset of reducing friction and maintenance.
Automation orchestration tooling such as Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub Enterprise, or Gitlab.
Infrastructure automation tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
CI/CD best practices and implementation.
AWS infrastructure and cloud-native services such as Lambda and EKS.
Expertise in container security, image scanning, and Kubernetes security best practices.
Various git patterns such as Gitflow and trunk-based development.
Working within a highly regulated industry such as Financial Services or Healthcare.
Programming proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi with integrated security scanning.
Container orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE), including security policies and network policies.
Container security scanning and runtime protection, such as any of the following: Aqua, Twistlock, Snyk, or similar.
Secrets management integration: HashiCorp Vault, Infisical, CyberArk, AWS KMS / Secrets Manager, or similar.
Cloud cost management & automation.
Strong background in network design, architecture, and troubleshooting.
Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure IAM and the implementation of least privilege and just-in-time access solutions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organization skills.
