Responsibilities

Design and implement database solutions to support business applications and ensure data integrity and security.

Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data dictionaries.

Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database systems.

Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.

Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team and other departments.

Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Proven experience as a Database Architect or similar role

In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)

Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and normalization

Experience with database performance tuning and optimization

Familiarity with database security practices and disaster recovery planning

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

Development experience

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
