Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of 2-6 employees, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the team meets operational goals and delivers exceptional service
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance skills and performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for a small set of clients, ensuring satisfaction and providing proactive communication regarding their duty drawback needs
Collaborate with clients to resolve any issues, answer inquiries, and maintain long-term partnerships
Oversee the timely and accurate filing of duty drawback claims, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies
Manage the operational aspects of the drawback process, including documentation preparation, submission, and follow-up
Ensure team members adhere to established workflows, policies, and timelines to meet client needs
Collaborate with the sales team to support the promotion and sales of duty drawback services to potential and existing clients
Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and help develop proposals, presentations, and sales collateral
Ensure proper documentation and records of all duty drawback activities, maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files
Provide regular reports on team performance, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency to senior management
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance client satisfaction
Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the service offering

Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in duty drawback
Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role
8 years experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Preferably a licensed broker)
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing small teams and fostering a collaborative work environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
High level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to client issues
Ability to support and contribute to sales efforts and business development activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with relevant customs software and systems
Expert knowledge of the CBP Duty Drawback regulations
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field preferred, but not required
