Responsibilities
Formulates long and short-range policies and executable plans for the business management activities.
Establishes standard operating procedures and guidance to ensure standardization, comprehensive implementation, and oversight of administrative activities.
Develops and implements business plans to achieve National strategic goals in support of the strategic planning process.
Coordinates and implements the Annual Resource Management Planning (ARMP) Process.
Develops and coordinates internal review systems to assure that both administrative and financial activities adhere to agency and regulatory requirements.
Advocates for and assists leadership in developing and implementing agency strategic plans into effective and harmonized business management plans.
Reports accomplishments relating to business priorities and initiatives for inclusion in an overall assessment of progress toward business management goals and objectives.

Required
You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Qualifying experience for GS-14 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-13 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is experience managing and executing business operations in support of research programs; contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance organizational effectiveness; and planning and reviewing the work of staff with a focus on producing outcomes and services that maximize customer satisfaction.
