Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain FreeRADIUS servers, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Implement and refine AAA policies, integrating them seamlessly into distributed network environments.
Leverage RadSec for secure and encrypted RADIUS over TLS connections.
Work on the architectural design and operational strategy of large-scale, highly available distributed AAA systems.
Integrate automated deployment workflows, monitoring solutions, and failover mechanisms for maximum uptime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline service delivery and integration.
Administer, tune, and optimize SQL databases supporting AAA and related infrastructure.
Implement robust, scalable data models and queries to maintain high performance and efficient resource utilization.
Oversee the lifecycle of TLS certificates, from procurement and issuance through renewal and revocation.
Implement best practices for secure, encrypted communication and data integrity across all services.
Integrate and manage Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0) and OpenRoaming configurations and interconnections to ensure seamless connectivity for end-users.
Collaborate with internal and industry peers to define and integrate network policies, federation frameworks, and roaming agreements.

Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with AAA platforms, including RADIUS and FreeRADIUS.
Proven track record designing and operating large-scale, highly distributed systems and services.
Experience managing public cloud services (e.g. AWS) and working with orchestrated containerised workloads (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience managing decentralised Wi-Fi APs and controllers (self-hosted and cloud/SaaS).
Expert-level SQL administration experience (e.g. PostgreSQL).
In-depth knowledge of TLS certificates, PKI, and secure networking protocols.
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives.
Self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred
Expertise on Wi-Fi Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0) and OpenRoaming is strongly preferred.
Past exposure to WFA/WBA technical workgroups and familiarity to standards/frameworks (i.e. WIFI6, WRIX) is strongly preferred.
