Responsibilities

Perform a variety of work involving planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.

Plan and conduct simulations to determine capacity requirements and recommend hardware/software replacements or upgrades to meet current and future requirements.

Generate and run simulation models for future applications.

Develop and present plans for integrating new server technology into existing architecture.

Perform a variety of work involving planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the systems environment

Evaluate the impact of new and proposed applications on the operating environment.

Manages major changes to the systems environment, e.g., implementation of major new applications or conversion to new operating systems.

Performs a variety of work involving applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving.

To meet this requirement you must demonstrate proficiency in each of the four competencies listed above as follows - GS-13: Advanced.

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience for this position is defined as: Experience in 1) Testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Server (2016 or newer) operating systems in a VMWare EXSi environment; 2) Creating, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows PowerShell Scripts; and 3) Administering, maintaining and troubleshooting Carbon Black for SWAM (Software Asset Management) and/or Axonius for HWAM (Hardware Asset Management).
