Responsibilities
Oversee all fund accounting operations, including NAV calculations, reconciliations, financial reporting, and investor communications.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of fund performance.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Implement and sustain strong internal controls.
Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.
Build and scale a high-performing team aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy, capital allocation, and operational improvements.
Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Enhance and streamline accounting systems and processes for improved efficiency and scalability.
Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technology solutions.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Oversee the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Provide accounting insights for investor reports, distribution calculations, and due diligence processes.
Support capital raising activities through financial analysis.
Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
Maintain robust controls across the accounting function.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in accounting, with a specialization in fund accounting (Private Equity, Hedge Funds, or Asset Management).
Proven track record in a leadership role within a financial services firm, preferably boutique or mid-sized.
Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements, tax filings, fund structures, and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective team management and mentorship capabilities.
Strong communication skills for engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred
CPA or CFA designation preferred.
Experience with advanced accounting software and fund accounting platforms is a plus.
